2017 Calendar of events

Easter Egg Hunt -- sponsored by Dwight Lions Club.

Held in Renfrew Park at 10AM.  Park is divided into sections for various age groups.  Children are able to hunt for eggs and special prizes. Held on Easter Saturday (April 15, 2017)


Children's Easter Activities -- sponsored by Dwight Economic Alliance.

Beginning at 10:30 children and parents may play games and visit with the Easter Bunny at the East Shelter in Renfrew Park (formerly at the Depot on West Main St)  Light refreshments will be available. Held on Easter Saturday after Easter Egg Hunt in Renfrew Park. (April 15, 2017)


Red Carpet Corridor Weekend -- held the first weekend in May.

Towns from Joliet to Towanda plan 90 miles of fun.  Garage Sales, car shows and entertainment are a few of the activities planned each year.  Dwight's Texaco Welcome Center will be open Saturday and Sunday.  Stop by to visit with the Texaco Man and explore a 1930's gas station.  Dwight will also have all town garage sales all weekend as well as a BBQ contest. Doggone Good BBQ Contest -- sponsored by Dwight Economic Alliance will be held Saturday, May 6, 2017 as a part of the Red Carpet Corridor

Weekend.  Cooks may enter to win cash prizes.  Held on the Basset Dog Park grounds (West Waupansie St.) the event will include crafters, children's games, food and beverages and entertainment. Held the 1st weekend in May. Farmer's Markets -- are held in the downtown parking lot every Wednesday June - August.  

Beginning at 5PM area farmers will offer fresh garden produce.  Flowers and plants, crafts, Junk in the Trunk and baked goods are also available.  Sponsored by Dwight Economic Alliance.


Buzz the Gut Cruise Night -- sponsored by Dwight Economic Alliance. 

Classic cars, music, raffle, Silent Auction, Games & demonstrations.  Food, crafts, novelty items vendors too! Held the 4th Saturday of June each year from 4-9pm. (June 24, 2017)


4th of July Celebration -- sponsored by Dwight Economic Alliance.

Activities held at the Dwight Grade School grounds include games for children, raffle, food and entertainment.  Giant fireworks display begins at 9PM. Always held on the 2nd of July, events start around 5pm.


Dwight Harvest Days -- sponsored by the Harvest Days Committee.  

A weekend festival offers something for everyone--crafts and flea market, food vendors, carnival, entertainment on the downtown stage, Kiddie parade, car show and tractor show.  Parade on Sunday. Held the 3rd FULL Weekend of September. Events throughout the day from 9am – 1am during the weekend. Go to www.dwightharvestdays.org for more detailed times. (September 15, 16 & 17, 2017)


Basset Waddle--sponsored by Guardian Angel Basset Rescue.  

Activities, entertainment and food available for Bassets and their owners at the GABR Park.  Public is welcome to attend. This is held on Harvest Day’s weekend with the Waddle to lead the Harvest Day’s Parade. Go to www.bassetrescue.org/2013WaddleInfo.html for more detailed information.  (September 15, 16, & 17, 2017)


Christmas Parade-sponsored by Dwight Economic Alliance.  

Parade in downtown Dwight includes bands, lighted floats, local entries and children's costumed characters all leading the way for Santa.  Visits with Santa and children's characters after the Parade. Held the 1st Friday in December at 6pm. (December 1, 2017)


Breakfast with Santa-sponsored by Dwight Economic Alliance.

Children and parents may enjoy a pancake and sausage breakfast.  Santa will be available to visit and pose for pictures.  The will also be games to play, face painting and a chance to write Santa a letter. Held the 1st Saturday in December at the Country Mansion Garden Room around 8am. (December 2, 2017)
